How Food Impacts Mental Health & The Ethical Responsibility to Understand It

Topics explored in this workshop include understanding the link between food, minerals, vitamins and mental health diagnosis, identifying the various treatment professionals that can help improve outcomes, treatment and clinical practice recommendations as well as resources will be provided.  6 CEU's (5 Core hours; 1 Ethic hour); Cost of this workshop is $100 for counselors wanting CEUs; for community members wanting to participate without earning CEUs the cost is $60.

Workshop Objectives:

  1. Understand the link between food, minerals, vitamins and mental health.

  2. Understand how to assess and incorporate food/resources in treatment planning.

  3. Creating balance and treatment synergy by enhancing the treatment team players.
